Family Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

are seeking a Family Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join a well
respected Psychiatrist in practice and affiliated with an Integrated
Multispecialty Group. The Clinic hours are Mon-Fri 8:30am-5:00pm with
no weekends or call responsibilities. The Provider would see an
estimated 12-16 patients per day when conducting Patient Evaluations
(one about every 30 minutes) and on the days when conducting
Med/Checks, the Provider can anticipate 24-32 patients per day. Typical
patient mix in an outpatient setting including; Depression, Bi-Polar
Disorders, Anxiety, etc. Base Salary is $80,000+ (Depending Upon

Qualifications:
Knowledge of professional care theories, principles, practices, disease
process and procedures.
Knowledge
of a variety of pharmacological agents used in patient treatment, the
desired effects, side effects, and complications of their use as well
as the accurate administration of the pharmacologic agent, including
dosage calculations as required. Knowledge of the administrative
requirements for proper documentation of patients conditions including
disease progress, acknowledgement of teaching, and follow up care.
Knowledge of computer operations and proficiency in use of basic word
processing, data entry and automated medical records.
Ability to synthesize data from a variety of sources and make

Skill

such as IV infusion pumps, cardiac monitoring devices, EKG units,
oxygen analyzers, nebulizers, and other unit specific equipment.

Possess
current certification by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board
(PNCB) or the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
Possess
and maintain current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). Current certification in either
the American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) (Course C) or
the American Red Cross CPR/BLS Course. In addition Advance Cardiac Life
Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS) and Neonatal
Resuscitation Course (NRC) certifications shall be required.

Extensive
medical knowledge, shares clinical expertise as consultant and
instructor. Evaluates clinical practice and collaborates with health
care team members to improve patient care delivery. Participates in
staff development programs.
Ability to assess patients' needs
via critical thinking and diagnostic skills in clinical
decision-making, comprehensive health history, physical assessment,
health assessment tools, record reviews, and individual patient
encounters and interviews.
Ability to communicate orally and in writing with a diverse group of
individuals.
