Positions Available
the
Advanced Practice Provider provides care and evaluation of surgical
patients on inpatient surgical units, operating room and the emergency
department in collaboration of director of general
surgery, of
attending faculty surgeons and residents of the surgery residency
program. Evaluates and treats acute and chronic surgical
conditions
including trauma. Performs selected laboratory testing,
referrals to
physicians as needed, writes prescriptions, and performs procedures
within the scope of expertise, protocols, and available equipment.
Works under the supervision of the director and faculty in the care and
treatment of patients.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification/Licensure:
·
Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
educational program
·
Applicable national certification from the National Commission on
Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA), American Academy of
Nurse Practitioners (AANP), or American Nurses Credentialing Center
(ANCC).
·
Licensed to practice in Michigan
·
Current CPR Certificate
·
ATLS, ACLS and BLS Certification (or ability to obtain the same)
Other Requirements:
·
Self motivated, disciplined, with high integrity
·
EMR and computer competent
·
Outstanding References
The preferred candidate should also have:
·
1-2 years of clinical experience in a surgical role
·
Experience in an Academic Medical C enter or teaching environment
·
Graduate of a mid-level provider surgical or surgical critical care
residency program

Candidates must have a master’s degree in nursing with an earned

Family Practice – Loan Repayment
We
are seeking a Physician Assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner for a
Rural Health clinic in Montana. Will consider experienced providers
only, no new graduates. Other providers on site. Duties will be
covering an attached clinic as well as periodic ED coverage (less than
one a day). Schedule will be M – F, 8a – 5p, two
weeks on and one week
off. Call will be 1 in 3 (workdays) and 1 in 3 weekends. Moderate
patient volume in the clinic. Full autonomy. Salary will be $80
– 100k+
with a comprehensive benefit package including 17 wks vacation (see
schedule), malpractice, health insurance, retirement, and paid CME.
Additionally: This position offers guaranteed Federal Loan Repayment
Assistance with a high HPSA score (requires 2 year commitment). The
cash value of this benefit is $60k. These are non-taxable dollars so
