Physician Assistant Urgent Care Florida
Position Summary: Provides primary and episodic care to patients—independently and in collaboration with other medical professionals—following standards and protocols set by Supervising physician. Functions as a member of clinical team in maintaining patient flow and maximizing the delivery of quality care to patients. Emphasizes health promotion and/or disease prevention through patient education and coordination of care. Follows regulations and guidelines for writing prescriptions.
Essential Functions:
• Follow protocols, which provide medical authority when such are indicated in providing care.
• Perform complete physical exams and assessments of patients including urgent, emergent, and non-urgent presentation.
• Select, order, and perform tests and procedures to augment physical findings.
• Define/document differential diagnoses and list differential diagnoses with most likely diagnosis included.
• Write orders on physician order sheet for tests, procedures, and the implementation and management of therapies in accordance with medical nursing protocols.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as deemed necessary and appropriate for plan of care, in collaboration with supervising physician.
• Interpret data and diagnostic results for appropriate course of action including but not limited to blood gasses, radiology, EKG, etc., in collaboration with supervising physician.
• Notate findings and treatment course in patient chart including follow-up notes.
Position Qualifications:
• Graduate of an accredited school and certified as a Physician Assistant with current Florida licensure.
• Skilled in traditional physician assistant disciplines of patient assessment and management
• Two years previous emergency medicine or urgent care experience or 1-3 years experience as a practicing physician assistant in family practice, orthopedics or general surgery
• ACLS/PALS certification
Physician Assistant Compensation
Vacation: Two weeks paid vacation (80 hours) after first year.
Professional Liability Insurance & Tail Coverage: Paid in full for services performed for the practice;
Health Insurance: BlueCross BlueShield Single and Family Plan after first year.

We are seeking a Physician Assistant to join a well respected Neurology / Neurosurgical Group Practice in Alabama. The Physician Assistant will work in a clinic and surgical setting as well as round in-house. The PA will be on call every third day and every third weekend. The Provider will work in an outpatient clinic, assist with surgery on days the surgeon is scheduled in the OR, and round-on patients in-house. The clinic hours are Mon-Fri 8:30am-5:00pm and the PA, while in surgery, can expect the typical cases start at 7:00am and end at 12:00pm. The Physician Assistant can expect a generous compensation package ranging from $95,000-$120,000+ (Depending Upon Experience). Full Medical, Dental, 401K with Match.
