Davenport, Iowa (Quad Cities)
Full-time Physician Assistant needed for busy and fast paced Orthopaedic Upper Extremity Surgeon. The time will be split between the OR and the Clinic. Responsibilities include: Independent clinics, H&P’s, patient evaluation and treatment, first assist during surgical procedures, injections and providing patient evaluation education. In addition, clinical studies and travel to favorable/exotic locations are an option as part of the practice. Light call coverage also required. Successful candidate should be NCCPA-certified/eligible, highly motivated and hard working. Previous orthopaedic/surgical experience a plus but willing to train.

CALIFORNIA (Los Angeles)
Physician Assistant – Orthopaedics (EXPERIENCE REQUIRED!)
Well-established Orthopaedic Group seeks to add their first full-time Physician Assistant to their team. The position will be three to four days in the Clinic and the balance in the OR. If desired, the position can be all clinic. The group handles a split between spine and general orthopaedic cases with a strong volume on knee and shoulder scopes. Responsibilities include: providing first assist (if desired), evaluating orthopaedic injuries, eventually running a clinic, reductions, patient evaluation and education, pre and post-H&P’s, injections, consultation and reviewing lab results in both a clinic and hospital setting. This position has no call and is Monday to Friday and averages 45 hours per week. The new PA will run clinics with some being satellite. The PA will see up to 20 patients per day which will include workers compensation and PI cases. Successful candidate should be NCCPA-certified. Previous orthopaedic experience is required. The group prefers a candidate that has ties to the west coast. The location is in an upscale area that is located just west of the Los Angeles area. Base salary is open. Orthopaedic Specialty Group seeks a full-time Physician Assistant. The new PA will work directly supporting two Orthopaedic Surgeons. The Doctors cases include total joints, upper extremity, knees and sports. The new PA will provide event coverage. The PA will work both in the Clinic and the OR. Orthopaedic Group seeks to add another full-time Physician Assistant to their existing team. The PA will handle a mix of all orthopaedics. The position includes both Clinic and OR. An experienced Orthopaedic PA will have their own patient base! Physician Assistant – Orthopaedics
Well-established Orthopaedic Group seeks to add another full-time Physician Assistant to their team. The group handles a strong volume of cases in total joints, sports, foot and ankle, fractures and some arthritis care. They also have a Physical Therapy Center and full onsite Diagnostics. The new PA will work directly with two General Orthopaedic Surgeons. The position will consist of 60 to 70% OR and the balance in the Clinic. Call coverage is 1/7 and 1/5 on weekends. Responsibilities include: office procedures, first assist, H&P’s, removing casts and pins, fracture reduction, joint injections and aspirations, writing scripts, rounds, consultation and patient evaluation and education and reviewing lab results. The new PA will also coordinate with in-house PT and ATC’s. The normal work week is 40 to 45 hours. Additional call is paid directly. The Greenville/Spartanburg area is a great southern metro area that offers low cost of living, several colleges, strong local economy, museums, and offers a great quality of life. The location also offers great all year round outdoor lifestyle with lakes, lots of golf courses, fishing and easy access to Charlotte. The group prefers some experience, but will train a new graduate that has some prior healthcare experience (PT, RN, EMT, ATC, Ortho Tech. etc.). This position will be to work in colaboration with the supervising physician to give quality treatment, referral and follow-up care. This includes: obtaining history; performing physical examinations; writing orders; performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures; administering intravenous medication; formulating a diagnostic impression; developing and implementing a treatment plan; monitoring the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions; assessing physiologic and psychological responsiveness; offering counseling and education to meet patient needs.

Will provide medical treatment for work-related and personal injuries cases.
Ensure patient information, visit history, refer outs, lab follow-up, phone calls, and consults are carefully and completely documented in the EMR

Develop a close working relationship with the medical director at the urgent care clinic location
Minimum Qualifications

Physician Assistant Program
Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS) has a full-time faculty position open in the Physician Assistant Program. This is an expanded program that enrolled its first class of 80 students in January 2013. The ideal candidate has a demonstrated track record in physician assistant education, clinical practice, research or related scholarly activities, and a commitment to continued professional development. We seek an energetic colleague who functions well in a team environment, and who can inspire and motivate students while being an effective role model. Continued clinical practice within EVMS Health Services is encouraged. Faculty rank and salary are based on education, clinical, and teaching experience.
The anticipated starting date would be on or about July 1, 2013.
QUALIFICATIONS: Current NCCPA certification, Master’s Degree in a related field, five or more years in clinical practice, and current eligibility for Virginia licensure.

Rocky Mountain Colleges Physician Assistant Studies Program is seeking a full time Director of Clinical Education/Assistant Professor. The successful applicant must hold a minimum of a Masters Degree in Physician Assistant Studies and have a current NCCPA certification. The successful candidate must also be eligible for licensure in the State of Montana. Clinical experience as a licensed physician assistant and previous teaching experience are also required. Primary responsibilities of the position include development and assessment of clinical sites, supervision and evaluation of students during clinical rotations, and evaluation of instruction for clinical year students. As a program core faculty member, this position is also involved in curricular design and assessment, classroom and clinical skills instruction, and student advising.
