Washington State - Hospitalist - Loan Repayment!!!We are seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner for a Hospitalist Position in Washington State. Will consider experienced providers only, no new graduates. Coverage will be for all departments including ICU and Step-down. Other providers on site. Schedule will be M - Sun, 7p – 7a (12 hr. shifts), 7 on and 7 off. No call. Nice schedule means you only work 26 weeks a year, leaving plenty of time for vacation, travel, or moonlighting. Additional schedule flexibility (ask for details). Average daily census is very light. High autonomy. Salary will be $110 - 130k with a comprehensive benefit package including 4 wks vacation, malpractice, health insurance, retirement, and 1 wk paid CME. Relocation assistance, and possible sign-on bonus. Additionally: This position offers guaranteed Federal Loan Repayment Assistance with a high HPSA score (requires 2 year commitment). The cash value of this benefit is $60k. These are non-taxable dollars so the real value (in taxable dollars and interest saved) is $80k+. Southern California College of Optometry (SCCO) is developing a new Physician Assistant program. The PA Program will confer a Master of Medical Science degree. SCCO plans to start the first PA class in the fall of 2014, pending provisional accreditation. The college is a 109-year old private, non-profit, fully accredited college. SCCO is currently undertaking a re-branding activity to assure the name of the institution aligns with the vision of a multi health professions institution. The Physician Assistant Program will be housed in the new School of Physician Assistant Studies.
Responsibilities: We are seeking a full-time, year-round faculty member to serve as Academic Coordinator in its developing Department of Physician Assistant (PA) Studies. Responsibilities include working in collaboration with the Program Director and other program faculty to ensure quality instruction in both the academic and clinical phases of the program. This position involves planning, scheduling, and coordination of lectures; classroom teaching; clinical lab instruction; clinical site visits; and program development in guidelines with the ARC-PA Standards. The Candidate will also assist with admissions, accreditation, student advising, and program administration to include serving on committees essential to the program’s functioning.
Qualifications: Candidates must hold a minimum of a Master’s degree, current NCCPA certification, and have worked a minimum of three years as a licensed PA. Prior experience teaching in a PA program and familiarity with the accreditation process is preferred. Applicant must be eligible for registration/licensure in the California. Candidates must demonstrate excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. Academic rank and salary are commensurate with credentials and experience. Excellent benefit package included.

QUALIFICATIONS: Clinical experience in surgery, orthopedics, internal/primary care medicine or emergency medicine would be desirable. Prior teaching or lecturing experience would also be desirable. Candidates must also possess strong computer, writing, and oral communication skills
EDUCATION REQUIRED: Candidates must possess a Master's degree and NCCPA certification
RESPONSIBILITIES: Course coordination, lecturing, lab and seminar instruction, student recruitment, admissions activities, clinical, committee participation, student advising, quality assessment activities, and other administrative duties.
This faculty member will have additional responsibilities involving clinical coordination. This would include assisting the clinical coordinator with clinical-site development, student assignment, coordination of clinical faculty, student site visitation, interfacing with clinical preceptors, student advising, and general supervision of the learning experience at clinical sites. The position also involves the opportunity for clinical practice
