In this role, Physician Assistants (PA) will function in the Emergency Department under the supervision of all attending staff with privileges in the department. The PA will perform their duties in a Level II trauma center. The PA will be responsible to provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive health care services. PAs are expected to take medical histories, examine and treat patients, order and interpret laboratory tests and x-rays, and make diagnoses. In addition, treat minor injuries, by suturing, splinting, and casting.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree, graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Program.
• Must have at least one year of ED experience.
• Candidate must be board certified and licensed in the State of New York.
• Candidate should achieve their BCLS and/or ACLS within one year of employment.
• Additionally, candidates should possess excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to diagnose and treat the patient population, possess the ability to perform EKG's, venipuncture and wound care.

Patient/customer service oriented medical practice seeks a Physician Assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner in the Fargo, ND area in an Urgent Care setting!
About the position :
- FNP / PA will see a variety of patient illnesses including minor suturing, minor surgical, stiches, staples. If patients are too serious, provider will stabilize and send to ER.
- Urgent Care Setting seeing patients of all ages. 3 - 12 hr day shifts per week including some weekends. Avg 24 patients per shift – 30 minute visits. 40 hrs a week work. Flexible shift scheduling available to take time off. No on-call.

The West Liberty University College of Sciences invites applications for the position of Program Director, Physician Assistant Program. We seek a dynamic and experienced educator and administrator capable of leading a recently accredited program. The program is currently interviewing applicants for its third class. The successful candidate will lead the program in all aspects of the PA educational and administrative processes including supervision of faculty, budget management, analysis and evaluation of the program, admissions, and maintenance of accreditation. In addition, the Program Director will collaborate with adjunct faculty, preceptors, invited guests and institutional officials, and will be responsible for continuous program improvement. The Program Director will have a limited teaching load and will report directly to the Dean, College of Sciences.
The successful candidate will:
- Hold as a minimum, a Master’s degree in physician assistant studies
(A Physician Assistant degree plus a Doctorate in a related field is preferred)
- Have graduated from an accredited PA program
- Be currently NCCPA certified
- Be eligible for licensure in West Virginia
- Have a minimum of five years’ teaching experience in a university-based PA program
- Have at least five years of clinical practice
- Have experience in curriculum development and program assessment
- Have previous experience in PA program administration and the ARC-PA accreditation process
The Program Director will be expected to maintain presence in the field, and will be eligible for a full-time, tenure-track appointment at a rank and salary commensurate with experience and prior accomplishment. The new Program Director is expected to begin this position in May, 2014.
This position includes a comprehensive benefit package.
