I am a Nurse Practitioner pursuing a Doctorate of Nursing Practice
(DNP) at Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions in Provo,
Utah. I am currently conducting an investigation to complete my clinical
capstone project. I invite you to participate in my investigation to describe
the level of Advanced Practice Nursing (APN) knowledge regarding the use
of trigger point injections in primary care management of myofascial pain
before and after participation in an online teaching intervention.
Your participation in this investigation will involve completing an
online pre-test survey posted on SurveyMonkey (approximately 15 minutes)
and then proceeding through the online teaching program (approximately
30 minutes), after which you will be automatically connected back to complete
an online post-test survey (approximately 15 minutes). You will also be
invited in the same manner that you received this invitation to participate
in a six-week follow-up survey that will take an additional 15 minutes.
All data will be aggregated and reported as group data. You are assured
complete confidentiality since you are asked NOT to enter your name anywhere
within each survey. Your participation is voluntary and will in no way
jeopardize your role as an Advanced Practice Nurse. Moreover, the benefit
to your participation will be to learn more about the use of trigger point
injections for primary care management of myofascial pain. Your informed

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner--Greater Birmingham,
AL Area
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (Psych Mental Health NP preferred, but
would consider a Nurse Practitioner with Psych background as an RN) needed
for Hospital (In-patient/Out-patient Clinic Setting) Med/ Management and
Therapy. Standard hours are Mon-Fri 8:30-5:00pm. Some call
responsibilities required for this position. The Hospital has two
units one for Adults and one for Geriatrics. Top three DRGs are depression,
schizophrenia/psychosis, and mood disorders. Estimated patient volume
would be 25 per day. There are several Psychiatrists on staff.
Salary range of 80-85K D.O.E. , plus a $5,000 sign-on bonus for a one year
commitment. Full benefits package including medical, dental, vision
and 401K. PTO accrues at 16 days per year initially and 12 days per
year sick leave. Paid CME time off and CME allowance. Malpractice
is 1/3MM per occurrence paid at 100% as well as licensure, dues, fees etc.

Hospitalist
Nurse Practitioners to work in Kingsport, Tennessee at either
Indian Path Medical Center or Holston Valley Medical Center. These are
great positions for the NP who enjoys inpatient work.
Block scheduling! Work 7X7 or 6X6 or 5X5 depending on Facility. It will
be up to the two NPs at the Facility how they block their time. You will
work with an MD Hospitalist each night and admit patients to a very busy
service. Fielding calls from the floor will also be part of the duties.
