Neurosurgical Physician Assistant – Tulsa, Oklahoma (Experienced Surgical Providers Only)   We are seeking a Neurosurgical Physician Assistant interested in joining a well respected Neurosurgeon in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The Neurosurgical Physician Assistant would work in the clinic as well as the OR and rounding in house (50% Clinic and Rounding / 50% OR). The Physician Assistant would be paired with one specific Neurosurgeon.  Call is rotated on an equitable bases between the for of them, but the PA takes “first call”.  The clinic hours are Mon-Fri (8:00am-5:00pm) when the Provider is not in surgery which is equivalent to 50% of the week.  The Provider’s duties and experience desired would include first assisting, daily rounding of all patients (to include ICU), new inpatient and ER consultations, placing orders (pre and post op), ordering and reviewing appropriate laboratory and radiographic tests such as CT’s, MRI's, MRV’s, myleograms, and other radiographic studies.  The Neurosurgeon would prefer a Surgical PA with experience in craniotomies for tumor resection and evacuation of intracranial hemorrhages, aneurysms, VP shunts, Chiari Malformations, Endoscopic Third Ventriculostomies.  Minimally Invasive craniotomies for tumor resection, Endoscopic Transsphenoidal tumor resections placing and managing and removing EVD’s, lumbar drains, and ICP bolts. The Provider should be familiar with brain and spine instrumentation as well as several brain and spine navigation systems.  The starting base salary is $110,000-$145,000+ (Negotiable Depending Upon Experience and calculated from 2012 NERVES Survey) including Medical, Dental, 401K with Match, 30 days of PTO time, CME, and CME allowance.
