We specialize in "routine medical care" (pharyngitis, URI, UTI, sinusitis, headaches, dermatitis, gastroenteritis, etc) but do some primary care too (like helping manage HTN, elevated cholesterol, etc).  RE-POST Texas Family Practice We are seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner for a Family Practice clinic in west central Texas. Will consider a new graduate (preferred). Other providers on site. Schedule will be M-F, 8a – 5p and 1/2 Sat/mo. Anticipated volume will be 20-25/day. Compensation will be $70k-ish for a new grad (possibly negotiable depending on background) plus 3 wks vacation, malpractice and health insurance and 1 wk paid CME. Relocation assistance and possible sign-on bonus. This site qualifies for Federal Loan Repayment Assistance with a high HPSA score (requires 2 year commitment). The cash value of this benefit is $25k (1st year), $235k (2nd year). These are pretax dollars so the real value (in taxable dollars and interest) is $65k+. This puts your real earning at $100k+ per year. In essence you are working for 2 years and getting paid for 3!!! Central west Texas is a diverse area with a varied terrain. Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to assist the Pediatric Surgery faculty and house staff physicians with admissions, pre and post-operative management, surgeries, education and research endeavors. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: A Master's degree is required. Master's degree in nursing is preferred. If Master's is in a related field, a Baccalaureate degree in nursing is required. Current license to practice nursing in Iowa. Current certification in specialty area and licensure as ARNP in state of Iowa is required. Demonstrated experience in area of clinical practice. Evidence of excellent written and verbal communication skills. Evidence of ability to function with a high degree of independence while actively collaborating with health care members providing care for highly complex pediatric patients. Previous patient care experience or training in pediatric surgery or critical care. Demonstrated experience in are of clinical care performing history and physical exams. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience with procedures such as performing histories and physicals and pre-operative evaluation of pediatric surgical patients, clinical follow-ups, assisting with advanced laparoscopic and robotic procedures in the operating room and bedside procedures is highly desired. Ability to work well in a team environment. Previous operating room experience or training. Experience with multi-disciplinary process improvement.
