join a Vascular Surgeon in a private practice setting. The PA will
assist the Surgeon on cases in the OR, manage patients in the clinic and
round on patients in-house. The Surgeon prefers a PA with Surgical
Experience and a Kentucky license, but would consider a new or recent
graduate with a strong interest in surgery and previous experience
as a Surgical Tech or heavy clinical rotations in surgery. The base
salary will be $80,000-100,000K+ (D.O.E.) with additional incentives

Family Practice Physician Assistant - East, Texas -

The Bone". Own the Bone is a hospital-based, quality improvement,
inter-specialty approach to patient care after fragility fractures.
This new position will be Hospital based with the following responsibilities:
. Implement a systems-based approach to prevent future fractures
. Work with a well know Orthopaedic Surgeon that is also a certified
Densitometrist
. Hospital consults with at risk patients for fractures
. Promote education on fracture prevention to all Medical Providers
. Physician education, including regional education workshops and webinars
that address quality improvement and share best practices

. Clinical trail with AAOS (collect and analyze data from Bone Density
Scans)

The University of Bridgeport is currently seeking CTDHE licensure and
ARC-PA accreditation for a new Master of Science Physician Assistant program.
The University plans to enroll the first class in September of 2010.
The University now invites applicants for a founding Program Director
to start in late summer or early fall 2009 who will be responsible for
continuing to develop a program that meets current accreditation standards
and leading this new program through a successful accreditation process.
The Program Director must possess thorough knowledge of ARC-PA accreditation;
have experience teaching in an ARC-PA accredited program; and be sufficiently
experienced to assume primary responsibility for the program's organization,
administration, fiscal management, continuous review and analysis, planning,
and development. The director must be PA or a physician. If a PA, she/he
must hold current NCCPA certification or current PA licensure or eligibility
in Connecticut. If a physician, she/he must hold current licensure as an
allopathic or osteopathic physician in Connecticut, and be certified by
an ABMS- or AOA-approved specialty board. The director will supervise the
medical director, faculty, and staff in all activities that directly relate
to the PA program; teaching responsibility is .25 time.
