Busy Pain Medicine Practice - Expanding - and Moving to a New Office. Provo/Orem, Utah area - Near Brigham Young University and Utah Valley University. Seeking Qualified and loyal Physician Assistant and/or Nurse Practitioner. Our Physician Assistant of 5 years, who is a dear friend, is moving to Northern Utah - His wife's family are there, and their children are to the age they need to move before the children establish extended relationships. We are also expanding, and will likely need two PA's or NP's. The Physician will be doing fluoroscopic spinal procedures in the Office, and not just in the hospital. We perform fluoroscopic Cervical, Thoracic, and Lumbosacral Procedures. Think of Pain Medicine as a combination of Orthopedics, Neurology, and psychology. We are a combination of Interventional Spinal Procedures, and Medication Management. We do not believe in routine high dose opioid medication therapies. We work with the major Neurosurgeons in Utah County, Utah. They are fantastic. We are a referral practice only. We also receive a large number of consultation requests from Primary Care providers. The Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner performs Initial Evaluations, and Follow-up consultations, as well as in-Office procedures. The Physician also performs consultations, and when perfoeming procedures will most of the time perform those procedures in the office, and a few in the hospital. The Physician will always be available for counsel - and most of the time personally in the room with you. We are looking for the kind of person who is a team player and has "personality". We realize that it takes time to learn and become comfortable in a new field of Medicine - and we will teach your dictation techniques and provide education in consultation, and medications management. We will teach you the nomenclature, medications and proctor you in the Evaluation and Consultation process. Medical Assistants are in the room with you to take notes, so you may concentrate on the patient. The PA/NP will be taught to perform Occipital Nerve Injections, Interspinus Injections, Sacroiliac joint injections, Subdeltoid Injections, Trochanteric Bursa Injections, Inguinal injections, etc. Provo/Orem, Utah is a beautiful family oriented area, with Excellent schools, Social Amenities, and opportunity for Outdoor activities such as skiing, fishing, hiking, water sports, etc. Great/wonderful staff of ten. Seekinga NP or PA for a new IPC location in Mt. Vernon, IL (75 miles from St. Louis). St. Mary's/ Good Samaritan is a large, Catholic, not-for-profit organization serving 300,000, with expanding services such as interventional cardiology and open heart. Mt. Performs complex surgical techniques as directed by physician. Provides post operative care i.e., evaluates patient's physical condition to ensure no secondary complications have occurred, removes sutures, and aspirates wound fluids. Dictates discharge summaries for the medical record and for billing purposes, including final diagnosis, procedures performed, complications, discharge instructions, and narrative summary of patient's stay and pertinent laboratory and pathology findings. See patients in a clinic setting, performing routine medical assessments and treatments. Performs pre-operative hospital and Clinic day surgery admission histories and physicals for surgical patients. Forms patient assessment and develops preliminary patient care plan. Makes hospital rounds, with physician and/or independently, to monitor patient's current physical condition, assesses changes in condition, adjusts care plan accordingly, writes new orders for medications, lab/x ray tests, etc., and documents all of the above in medical record. Performs all activities in accordance with established policies and protocols. QUALIFICATIONS: Completed PA program approved by AMA. Licensure By Texas Medical Examining Board. NCCPA certification.
