Family Nurse Practitioner needed for Rural Healthcare Clinic in Eastern Louisiana. The provider will be seeing an estimated patient volume of 35 patients per day in a traditional Family Practice setting mostly indigent care as this clinic is community based. Clinic Hours are Mon-Fri 8:30am-5:00pm and one Saturday per month 9:00am-12:00pm. The provider will work autonomously with physician back-up. the physician will be on-site once per week. Great support staff. Excellent compensation at $65.00 per hour or $135,200 for a 40 hour work week. The site also qualifies for loan repayment through the NHSC as it is in a HPSA area with high score. Medical Dental and TSA are provided as well as 3 weeks of vacation and CME. Our Physician Assistant of 5 years, who is a dear friend, is moving to Northern Utah - His wife's family are there, and their children are to the age they need to move before the children establish extended relationships.
We are also expanding, and will likely need two PA's or NP's. The Physician will be doing fluoroscopic spinal procedures in the Office, and not just in the hospital. We perform fluoroscopic Cervical, Thoracic, and Lumbosacral Procedures.
Think of Pain Medicine as a combination of Orthopedics, Neurology, and psychology. We are a combination of Interventional Spinal Procedures, and Medication Management. We do not believe in routine high dose opioid medication therapies.
We work with the major Neurosurgeons in Utah County, Utah. They are fantastic. We are a referral practice only. We also receive a large number of consultation requests from Primary Care providers.
The Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner performs Initial Evaluations, and Follow-up consultations, as well as in-Office procedures. The Physician also performs consultations, and when perfoeming procedures will most of the time perform those procedures in the office, and a few in the hospital. The Physician will always be available for counsel - and most of the time personally in the room with you.
We are looking for the kind of person who is a team player and has "personality".
We realize that it takes time to learn and become comfortable in a new field of Medicine - and we will teach your dictation techniques and provide education in consultation, and medications management. We will teach you the nomenclature, medications and proctor you in the Evaluation and Consultation process. Medical Assistants are in the room with you to take notes, so you may concentrate on the patient.
The PA/NP will be taught to perform Occipital Nerve Injections, Interspinus Injections, Sacroiliac joint injections, Subdeltoid Injections, Trochanteric Bursa Injections, Inguinal injections, etc.
